Star Cast: G-Dragon and Taeyang in Paris 2014 (PHOTOS)

The two very close friends G-DRAGON and TAEYANG were invited to January’s 2014 Paris Fashion Week. As K-Pop artists who are always in the spotlight, the two are hot stars also known for their incredible fashion sense. We want to know all about the details of watching fashion shows of world-renowned brands and meeting global fashion creators. Shall we have a look at the best shows and styling GD and TAEYANG personally picked?

1. SAINT LAURENT 

G-Dragon: “Saint Laurent's show was held at the Dome of Invalides, where Napoleon is entombed. Wearing Saint Laurent’s classy outfits, we were sitting in the front row and were captured by many cameras :) 

Looking at photos on social media, I liked how our chic looks stood out, just like the French fashion people. I also thought it was worth the work as our intended styling matched well with the concept of the show.”

2. CHANEL

G-Dragon: “It was quite impressive as we met the much-respected designer Karl Lagerfeld.
When you hear the word “CHANEL,” you think of a classy suit, but we wanted to express our own funkiness. I put ripped jeans with a bold necklace and a fur hat, while TAEYANG wore a chain. 

We were also invited by Chanel to visit Gabrielle Chanel’s old apartment, Karl Lagerfeld’s office, and Chanel’s Apartment where workshops of master craftsmen are. These were space where the East and the West met, while maintaining elegance and nobility. It was more meaningful because at Chanel Apartment, we saw Soo Joo, who works there as a model :)”

3. RICK OWENS

Taeyang: “Rick Owens’ show, held at Chaillot Palace with the view of Eiffel Tower, was somewhat powerful. 

We wanted to portray Rick Owens’ modern style and the avant-garde feel. I put on a knitted sweater with leather pants, which I normally enjoy wearing, while GD wore Rick Owens’ jacket and shirt. GD freely expressed his fashion sense with a large-brimmed hat and cross earrings.”

4. JUUN.J

Taeyang: “JUUN.J, a brand created by designer Jeong Wook Jun. I feel proud every time I visit his show. We normally enjoy his clothes so we know how great they look on runways. We sat in the front row dressed in JUUN.J’s white outfits from head to toes. The all-white concept attracted much attention. It felt different to when we are spotlighted on stage.”
